This year for vacation we were able to spend 6 weeks at our land in Hudson's Hope because I wasn't working. That was enough time to build a small cabin (well, shed really), or at least most of it. Hudson's Hope is 1 hour west of Fort St. John in B.C.
Carol took lots of pictures, and I've created a virtual album here for family and friends that aren't close enough to see the real thing.
This is a rough map of our land.
Hudson's Hope, looking to the southeast from the road we take up to our place.
This is looking north along the road as it approaches the farm. The hay field on the left is the section to the south of us. Our land starts at the line of trees across the middle of the picture.
The fifth wheel trailer that the previous owner left at the southern fence line (it's just barely visible as a white spec in the previous picture). Once the road/trail dried enough to drive on, we moved into it to have more space.
